Low riskReturns cost money. No sold prices yet. Few buyers on it.Returns: Insight Editions refund policy: returns for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, in the original packaging (contact them first). The policy does not say who pays return shipping, so assume you do. It's a pre-order that ships after Nov 17, so the 30-day window from an Oct 27 order runs out around Nov 26. · policy
A Nolan-signed, numbered /500 book for the biggest film of the year, sold out for seven weeks, with presale copies listed from about $500 up. The store's 30-day return policy limits the downside if prices slide before it ships. Risks: we can't see how many copies came back, the cart accepted large quantities (so the store may not cap orders and could cancel oversold ones), and older Nolan signed books only flipped about 1.2x. Buy 1 or 2, not a stack.

| Label | Detail |
|---|---|
| REPORTED | An eBay presale listing for the signed /500 (seller in Lodi, NJ) asked $506.80 or Best Offer and showed 1 sold, per eBay's international page in mid-October. Best Offer means the final price may have been lower. |
| ASK | Another eBay presale listing (item 168674707324) asked about $1,677. No sale seen at that price. |
| VERIFIED SOLD | Closest older comp: Insight's Nolan-signed Unleashing Oppenheimer /500 ($125 retail) sold for $145 (JSA copy, Pristine Auction, Aug 2024). Nolan /500 books have historically flipped at about 1.2x to 1.4x, so the Odyssey presale prices are the exception, not the rule yet. |
| ESTIMATE | Break-even is roughly $400 sold after eBay fees (~13.6%), insured shipping on a 6 lb book and sales tax. A $500 sale nets about $80 to $90 per copy. |
